F.A.Q.S
Here are the most Frequently.Asked.Questions. Anything we haven’t covered, please ask!
Will you be taking my dog on walks with other dogs? All walks are individual walks unless otherwise stated. Once I have spent a bit of time with your dog I will know whether he can be potentially paired up with another dog for walkies. If this is the case then I would discuss this with the owners prior to this happening. You offer a consultation. Is it free? Of course it is - ever since we opened we have had over 100's of consultations we believe that you should know you pet is in our good hands and talk about any specifications/requirements. What happens if its raining? We all get soaked!! There is no point waiting on decent weather for a walk. Walks will be carried out regardless of the amount of rain! I have a good set of waterproofs and plenty of towels to dry the dogs off! What happens if my pet becomes ill when in Happy Paws care? I will automatically take them to the vets. Once there I will try and contact the owner to let them know that their pet is ill. Preferably I would take the animal to the vet they are already registered with, however this is not always possible and depends on how ill they are and how quickly they require treatment. What area's do you cover? We are based in Brighton. So we cover Brighton and Hove. What will I need to provide for my pet? You will need to provide enough food for the duration of your pets stay and any treats allowed, toys and grooming equipment; any medication and, of course, your pets bed. Collars and leads must be supplied also - varys. Does my pet need to be vaccinated? Yes. Your pet must be up to date with all its annual vaccinations. Kennel Cough vaccination is not required. Your pet must also be wormed and flea treated before being placed with us. My pet usually sleeps on my bed. Will you allow it to do this? We do not allow any pets to sleep on our beds. All pets are expected to be used to being put to bed at night. Are all dogs suitable? No. We are only suitable for the average friendly, family dog. We do not accept any dogs with aggressive tendencies; un-housetrained dogs or dogs with incontinence problems; dogs that are likely to chew furniture/carpets etc or dogs that are over boisterous or not under control, particularly the larger breeds. Can you collect my pet(s)? This could be arranged at a fee, so discuss this with us when making your booking. Do you offer any discounts for long stays or bulk bookings? In general, no. But please contact to discuss. My pet(s) is on medication. Is it alright for you to administer this? Yes, so long as full details are given. Do you accept puppies/kittens? Yes, so long as they are house trained - generally from 4 months old. Do ask. |
